... that's still a thing? Can't wait to hear about a player getting arrested for horse rustling.

He lives in Indiana, truly a dark place

They don’t even sell alcohol on sundays… like wtf

That is false, Indiana allows the sale of alcohol from 12-8 pm. A few years ago though, yeah that was true

Back when I was 12 years old, my parents and I went to Indianapolis to see the Bills play the Colts. After the game, we went to a restaurant near the stadium to grab dinner before hitting the road. I was very tall for my age at 5'9", but it was also obvious that I was still just a kid. We got seated, got appetizers, and as we were eating them, a manager came up to our table and asked for my ID. My parents looked at him like he was crazy and said "She's 12, and she's drinking water." That's how we found out that if there was a visible bar in a restaurant, kids weren't allowed in it.

Opposite of WI where kids can drink if with their parents.

While it's legal, it's also at the discretion of the bar owner.

My teenage sons used to enjoy a Brandy Alexander after their fish lunches at the 5 O'Clock Club in Peewaukee.
Wi is unique in that manner. As a kid in the 1960s I would get a tap beer with my Friday fish dinner.

The funny part about that is after they turn 18 they have to wait till they are 21 because the parents can't buy it for them anymore.

Gotta love being able to force them into war but how dare they have a drink

Wow that’s next level pearl clutching… why not check ID at the door, then? They seated you

Because the host is usually busy as fuck as well as often being the newest employee. The host probably just made a mistake.

Utah is even crazier! They'll have a fully stocked bar right on front of your face, but if you order anything, they gotta pour it/mix it in the back in a little broom closet and bring it out to you. God forbid you actually see the alcohol being poured into your glass. And that's just one quirk of their many quirky alcohol laws.

You know it's almost time for the Indy 500 when everyone reminds the out of state visitors to buy beer on Saturday night, because you can't stock up before the race starts

Drove to Illinois in college a few times for alcohol.

It’s funny that liquor stores were the ones that only wanted 12-8. Meant that they could have one employee man the store for the entire day.

Yep, in MN when we were looking to change the Sunday liquor laws, the biggest lobby AGAINST allowing liquor sales on Sunday were the liquor store owners themselves.

The small ones. Cub and Hyvee and Total Wine were all for it

Can’t buy a cold beer in a gas station no matter the day though.
