When Joe Burrow was asked about what he thought about JD Vance at practice, he said: "The Vice President left with swiftness and efficiency"
Sniff… That’s my quarterback.

That was awesome

They showed a clip of him standing outside the locker room while the players were walking back in after practice. It looked so awkward with him standing there and no one acknowledging him lmao

One of the more underrated shitty aspects of the current admin is their love for completely hijacking things people enjoy. If a player was just polite and said hello, there's a non-zero chance every official social media account for the White House would have shared it and memed it and used that player's name in rallies across the country.

Which is why even if a player wants to say hi, they won’t. They know it’ll be used to promote something they’re not aware of. It’s a losing situation for the player

I was cackling last night seeing that. One of the funniest sports interview moments of 2026, right there.

"I'm basically paying rent on a luxury two bedroom apartment every month, except only my toddler can live there, he can only live there three days during the day, and he has 30 roommates that constantly give him diseases he brings back into my home." - My brother describing the experience of putting a child through Daycare in the United States

People trashing mods for removing political posts like they don't know EXACTLY how those mfs always get out of hand with a quickness.
10. u/CarlCaliente · 2026-10-22 16:07 UTC
I think it's folks who wanted to get out of hand who are disappointed when they find out they can't

People get mad when we remove them.
They get made when we don't remove them.
People just enjoy getting mad at the mods and will take any opportunity possible to do so.

Don’t work at a job in which your clientele can call you r**arded and face no repercussions. Life of a retail worker

I'm a big proponent of people working in retail or the service industry at least once in their life because I feel like it'll teach you a lot of patience. But even then, I know people who have worked in retail or a service industry and are still dicks. Sorry you had to go through that
16. u/uptonhere · 2026-10-22 14:35 UTC
Definitely. I'd like to think my family were usually pretty pleasant customers in general but for me personally yeah working a retail job definitely gave me a whole new perspective.
For starters, disassociating people who work at a retail store from the brand and realizing its a (shitty) job and they are just waiting to clock out and go home like everyone else. I worked at both Best Buy and Circuit City (RIP) when I was in school and old people always acted like you had some sworn allegiance to the brand when they'd threaten to go shop at a competitor. Like you're an NPC in a video game who spawns when they walk into the store and only when they're in the store.
Believe me, I hated Best Buy way more than you ever could, old man.

I don't know how people do it. I deal with truck drivers and that's bad enough.

Things I think should be heavily restricted or banned:

1: I agree.
2: I don't see how you could do this without causing issues for legit users. What if you couldn't attend something that you bought $100 tickets for? Just eat the $100? I feel like this is more on the people willing to pay the scalpers more so than the scalping itself.
3: I can take them or leave them.

Limit reselling to face value for tickets or MSRP for items. Anything else is illegal. And force whatever ticket distributor that sells them in the first place to facilitate reselling. Maybe add a... Five year limit from release so collectors can can still get something and wait for it to appreciate in value.
