The NFL trade deadline is likely to including a lot of Cleveland Browns rumors. Edge rushers are high on target list.
How quickly things fly by in the NFL. Only a little while ago, the 2026 NFL season was kicking off, and now we are staring down a Cleveland Browns schedule that includes the NFL trade deadline and the team’s bye week before the Thanksgiving holiday. The Tennessee Titans are next on the schedule, but NFL trade deadline rumors have been swirling for awhile now, including involving the Browns potentially dealing away WR Jerry Jeudy .
After his Week 6 performance, Jeudy’s time with Cleveland seems likely to last throughout at least this season.
That doesn’t mean the Browns won’t be active at the deadline, and rumors will only heat up if the team continues their winning ways. The Athletic posted a list of 50 players who could be on the trade market, as well as potential suitors for their services. Jeudy was the only player on Cleveland’s current roster listed, ranked #36, but the list also had the Browns listed as a potential suitor for a ton of edge players on the list (their ranking listed before their name):
Previously, we have noted Tuipulotu, Mack, Sweat, and Armstrong as options for Cleveland GM Andrew Berry.
Edge defenders are often very expensive in both trades and contracts. The younger guys on the list, like Tuipulotu and Smith, could cost the most in both compensation avenues. Sweat, signed to a long-term contract, could see his trade value drop precipitously because of the contract value.
Veterans in the final year of their contract, like Mack and Armstrong, could come at a reasonable trade price, but Berry might also have interest in extending their contracts as well.
For now, Cleveland is focused on Week 7 versus the Titans, but another win could stir up even more trade conversation.
Of the list above, assuming proper trade value for each player, who do you think the Browns should try to add to their roster before the NFL trade deadline?
