[Schefter] Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency.

Rumor was they were going to give the coaches three games before cleaning house. Doesn't look like that's the case here

Honestly, what does it matter if the coaches are held through the season? They have to pay them either way. It's not a turn around move.

Might as well give other guys with potential some actual game time and see what you have. The money may be a sunk cost, but the rest of the season still has value to see what potential you have/to get some experience for folks who may be around for the future.

Literally no one is staying outside of Reggie Wayne, maybe. The Colts have been putting together patchwork since Peyton was cut.
Ballard was brought in to put a roster around Luck, and then Luck retired. Then proceeded to not do anything about it.
This will be a complete restart as fresh as you can be.

they should’ve done a soft rebuild after Luck retired. i know (Jim) Irsay wanted to keep the team in the mix, but fielding competitive rosters with band aid QBs was a mistake.
for like, 4 seasons, they played themselves out of a shot at a top QB in the draft. when they finally bottomed out, they half assed a rebuild and swung and missed on AR. the roster’s been in decline ever since

What does 3 games matter they’ve been there like 3 years. What are you gonna learn that you don’t already know

Uh when did the 3 games start? Because if it started at the Vikings that would have taken them right to the trade deadline and that would have been a stupid promise to make.

No! Former president Zachary Taylor. He has a history of injury, but is dedicated to preserving the union.

Holy shit, Colts really started with Nelson. They are going to clean house.
For a third and a fifth??? Has he regressed recently?

3rd makes sense, he's probably a rental.

Still worth for it Seattle even if he’s a rental IMO if you have a serious chance at contention it’s worth it to go all in and bolster the o line
