Welcome to today's open thread, where r/nfl users can discuss anything they wish not related directly to the Taylor Swift.
Want to talk about personal life? Cool things about your fandom? Whatever happens to be dominating today's news cycle? Do you have something to talk about that didn't warrant its own thread? This is the place for it!
Remember, that there are other subreddits that may be a good fit for what you want to post - every day all day!

Unreal the Browns really posted "Party at Deshaun's" on their socials.

Definitely tone deaf but also not surprising that they're pretending his allegations don't exist

It is alarming the amount of people who use AI for simple things instead of thinking for themselves. We are moving towards a society with an inability to form a coherent thought without AI.

My wife is a teacher and another teacher she worked with for the last 15 years left for another school last year. She used ChatGPT to write a goodbye message to her parents. That's just depressing to me, like you can't even formulate your own feelings to people without help. It's one of those instances where I can't really imagine using AI to do a goodbye letter is any easier than just writing how you feel and pressing send.

My dad's best friend lost his relationship with his brother over this shit. Grown men in their 50s, went into business together and it didn't work out, the brother texted "I'm not very good at apologies so I had ChatGPT write this for me" and sent a screenshot of what it wrote. Dad's friend never responded and brother apparently still hasn't figured out what the problem was a couple years later

I was at a dinner before a wedding and watched the mother of the groom type "write me a speech for the wedding party make it sentimental" into her phone and man that is grim stuff

I wonder if the underlying issue is a lot of people desire feedback/a collaborator/editor and either can't get in real life because we are so disconnected or flee to AI because it generally tries to please even when it's correcting you. Not that that excuses it, but I am fortunate to have a few close friends I can bounce things off and it's crazy how it gets your mind working even if they don't directly provide the answer.

Bruh I understand trying to make paper, but what the FUCK got into some people's heads. I'm watching this video of some barber dude saying he wants to charge $175 for a fade because he brings 'a vibe'. Like bitch the only vibe worth $150 is a Hitachi lmao.

Maybe that's what he's bringing. You get a nice little surprise when you sit down for the cut.

My favorite passive-aggressive move is when someone tells me their email address is "all lowercase" or specifically says "no caps." I immediately type the entire thing in ALL CAPS.
Also, I'm going to pistol-whip the next person who sends me a screenshot of Google's AI response to whatever they just searched and says, "This should help with the information you requested."
No, it absolutely doesn't.
I asked you, "The letter you received is from a collection agency. Have you contacted them to find out who the original creditor is?"
Please explain how a screenshot of Google's AI answering "How to investigate identity fraud" is even remotely responsive to that question.
You somehow managed to do additional research and provide me with less information than if you'd just answered the darn question.
Needless to say, I'm having a rough morning.

One thing i've noticed that's funny to me is fans seem to think teams just...don't talk or meet outside of press conferences or games. Like i've seen fans go "Oh the HC is subtly calling out the QB now ooooo spicy" like my brother, he's openly probably calling out the QB to their face in meetings multiple times throughout the week he has about this lmao.

I think it's another one of those 'parasocial' things. people seem to forget that these people we see on tv (or listen to online, or whatever) do actually know each other and can talk to each other at any time. and do.

Elementary-school-age me seeing my teacher at the grocery store and not living at the school: “what the fuck?”

Don't worry, Christmas is right around the corner, it's time for Lexus December to Remember ads (because everybody spends $110,000 on a car before consulting their spouse), Norelco electric razors (seriously ladies, have a bit more imagination than that, it's half a step up from an Amazon gift card), and I'm not fucking kissing you unless you buy me mass-produced jewelryEvery Kiss Begins with Kay (same thing guys, you might as well buy a vacuum cleaner as a gift).

hey at least a really quality vacuum cleaner has utility, rather than some compressed sparkly carbon

after seeing my 27th ridiculous attack ad this weekend, I wondered if a winning strategy would be for a candidate to say "tired of all these political ads? here's 30 seconds of cats being hilarious. Brought to you by (political candidate)"
19. u/DoctorWaluigiTime · 2026-10-26 15:40 UTC
If I owned a tv network I'd bar all political ads period. "Watch TV here. A nice insulation for the 3 months of utter nonsense."

Is there anything more annoying than seeing strangers on the internet confidently and wildly incorrectly talking about something you are literally an expert at? I can't imagine what doctors who browse this sub must think sometimes lmao, my industry only comes up every now and then but everyone has opinions and they're all stupid
