Cardinals were the problem😂

Its been known like all year from us cardinals fans. most people are realizing that now but cardinals fans knew. Thats what happens when you have a backup QB playing as your starter for 2 seasons

One touchdown is all it took for people to forget how this sub clowned the Texans for giving up a second rounder lol

Many people on this sub only remember the last 5 minutes of life

the narrative will completely flip when he gets a single incomplete pass, followed by praise once again when he makes another good catch or TD; usually how these go

The only clowning should’ve been spending another 2nd on a WR, but this was 100% worth the cost. I was so pissed the Bills didn’t eat that to pair him with Allen.

I mean, Michael Wilson has had good numbers with Brissett, and even had a 1k yard season last year. Maybe it just wasn't a good fit for whatever reason?

There was just no chemistry and no urgency to use MHJR. It was so bizarre, it was like no one cared that we had used #4 on him.
9. u/BriskManeuver · 2026-10-25 18:42 UTC
That reason was because MHJ was set up to run deeper routes that Jacoby doesn't have confidence to throw it to.
Jacoby is good to throw maybe 5 yards thats about it.

MHJ just kinda sucked with us, he had some bad drops and struggled getting separation, and wasn't really a YAC type of guy.
At least form what I saw he'd be a solid #2, but that's not really what you want with a top 5 pick lol

Realizing it now? He has a single catch for a 6 yard touchdown lol.
He wasn't that great with us, this isn't some crazy vindication we suck, but he also kinda sucked he never really flashed talent worthy of the #5 pick everyone in here is crazy lol

Take it from a fan of a team who also wastes talent: it's the cardinals.

Form his on the field play in the NFL I never saw anything of MHJ that screams "I'm the guy"
McBride became the best pass catching TE in the league.
I also watched us play Hassan Reddick out of position for 2-3 years but he would still flash talent when he'd get to rush the QB.
MHJ has just been average, he never really was a YAC guy, and didn't get much separation most of the time and had some big drops.
Its not like he had a ton of wide open over throws or anything like that, he's just looked like an average WR2 out there lol

Jacoby can only throw 5 yards. The 2 receivers that are targeted are short yardage receivers. Its the cardinals that utilized MHJ to fail with jacoby as QB
15. u/NoAbbreviations2353 · 2026-10-25 19:13 UTC
That's exactly why I pointed out to separation.
He wasn't getting open and he wasn't good at contesting 50/50.balls I'm not an NFL coach but I imagine it's hard to try to utilize a receiver that hasn't been very good as the focus of your offense lol.
16. u/BriskManeuver · 2026-10-25 19:15 UTC
Hes had some pretty good catches this year whenever he had the opportunity to contest.
17. u/Trail_Goat · 2026-10-25 19:13 UTC
Yeah, you're just reiterating what we've all seen. The argument is about the cause, not the results themselves. Time will tell, but he sure seemed like the guy when he was drafted.
18. u/NoAbbreviations2353 · 2026-10-25 19:15 UTC
Yeah I mean some people just aren't as successful at the next level, or some people are really successful (like McBride) it's kind of a crap shoot lol.
I think MHJ will stick around the league for a while if he chooses but I don't think he'll be THE guy people thought he was going to be
19. u/Trail_Goat · 2026-10-25 19:19 UTC
I get that, but it'd be more surprising to me for the best receiver in college football during his time to completely forget how to use his hands. Conversely, the cardinals don't exactly have the best track record helping them out here
20. u/NoAbbreviations2353 · 2026-10-25 19:25 UTC
Yeah I assume he'll eventually start being more reliable again, but it's mainly the fact he hasn't looked fast and he hasn't had elite route running to get open.
I've watched years of Jason witten being the slowest most open guy on 3rd down , he's just been struggling with separation
