the steelers are now 4 wins away from recording their 23rd consecutive year without a losing season Jeez

Vegas had them at 7.5 wins before the season started lol

Vegas probably thought MM was a downgrade from Tomlin

I’ve watched a few games and I really don’t see that much of a difference.

I saw a comment that made a lot of sense.

McCarthy is the offensive version of Tomlin. Tomlin is the defensive version of McCarthy.

I’m leaning towards downgrade because we are missing the beautiful tomiln faces and quotes

If the standard is no longer the standard, then what is the standard?

8. u/VastAmphibian · 2026-10-25 18:33 UTC

the standard is no longer the standard but the bar is the bar and it is set where it is set

But on the flip side, we would have never known about Tomlin's Minecraft world, let alone seen it, if he didn't make a career change from NFL head coach to Minecraft YouTuber

I'm fiending for the next upload

our offensive scheme is 100% better, and defense is about the same maybe a little better with PG

(And special teams have been worse.)

Tomlin is the man, but that’s hilariously on point

Both are great floor raisers but have limited ceilings and they are living off a ring(s) that last happened over 15 years ago.

Fucking 15 years ago… I’m getting old

Indeed

17. u/athsrva · 2026-10-25 17:15 UTC

but also Aaron Rodgers is playing good again

There's a big difference. Attention to detail is way higher now. They're much quicker to fix issues. Defensively they seem to actually be trying to stop what the other team does best rather than just "do what we do" and this the best designed and called offense they've had since Ben retired.

19. u/Steelcity213 · 2026-10-25 18:20 UTC

Offense while still room to grow is vastly improved over Tomlin with mostly the same players. Execution and play strategy is better.

20. u/DoNotResusit8 · 2026-10-25 17:29 UTC

They’re about the same.

Better roster this year than last
